Milli mála – Journal of Language and Culture is a nonprofit, open access journal published by the Vigdís Finnbogadóttir Institute of Foreign Languages (VFI) at the University of Iceland since 2009. Originally entitled Annual Proceedings of the VFI, it received its present title in 2012.
Milli mála is published annually and archived in the Open Journal Systems of the University of Iceland (https://ojs.hi.is/millimala). The journal welcomes academic articles of quality in the fields of language, literature, linguistics, translation studies and language education. All academic papers are peer-reviewed. The journal also publishes translations, interviews, literary reviews and presentations. Milli mála publishes articles in Icelandic, English, Danish, German, French, and Spanish.

CONTENT Milli mála 2022(1) – Special issues

This first special issue of Milli mála is dedicated to new research in second language studies. Emphasis is placed on developments that have occurred over the previous two decades. The contribution of the papers contained in this issue is dicussed in the editor’s introduction.

CONTENT Milli mála 2022(2) 

This is the second issue of volume 14 of Milli mála, which contains six peer-reviewed papers on linguistics, literature, and translation studies. Additionally, the issue includes one article as well as two literary translations.
